eatdixx's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i can't remember how long i've been here and i don't know what day it is high. i'm homesick today. it's probly cuz i'm not feeling so great in my tummy AND i haven't had a conversation since i've been here. i think the ladies at the reception think i'm a bit of a loony. first night here, i go out to buy some beer and cigarettes from the local market, and i can't find a friggin bottle opener in kim's apartment ANYWHERE. anyhoo, i ask them to do it. they tell me there's one in the kitchen drawer. i tell them i've looked for half an hour. i find one in there the next morning. it was there all along. i've been craving baked beans and scrambled eggs on toast like a bitch on heat needs dick. so i found a supermarket in a huge mall last night, after i've navigated my way across the eight lane highway and jumped on a moving bus with it's doors open, I FOUND BEANS N EGGS. i buy a wok, the only cooking pan available besides saucepans. i can't find a can opener in the apartment. i struggle with a bit on the bottle opener, thinking it will cut it. i damage the can and take it downstairs all beaten in and peeling label, they take me into the restaurant and i stand in my little denim mini skirt with white girl legs for everyone to see [embarrassing] and my further tshirt with bad hair day, in the posh restaurant. a pretty little waitress giggles with her three workers but opens the can for me. they think i'm a loony. i think they're cute and i'd like to make friends with them, but i have a freak show complex now. i'm going to get on the 92 bus now and catch it til it's at the end of the line, see what's there and then catch one back. i feel like i've had a conversation now. thanks. p.s devil, i bawled today and yesterday and johnny cash's 'i hung my head'. how fucken sad is that song. i can't talk about it anymore, i have tears welling up. 12:55 p.m. - 2004-07-27 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
